Shannon Cawley, DPT

Shannon Cawley is a doctor of physical therapy practicing in Northeastern Pennsylvania since 1996 specializing in orthopedic, sports, spine, neurological and aquatic rehabilitation. Shannon earned her Master’s in physical therapy from the University of Scranton in 1996 and later returned to the University to earn her doctoral status in physical therapy. She has completed continuing education courses in the McKenzie method of spine treatment as well as the Duffy-Rath system and has also attended Gray Cook courses focusing on optimizing proper movement patterns to improve function across all generations.

Shannon’s love of the water, especially in the rehabilitation environment, has led her to develop Northeast Rehab’s aquatic physical therapy program in conjunction with the YMCA in Dunmore. This program focuses on restoring function and decreasing pain utilizing the viscosity, hydrostatic pressure, and warmth of a pool environment. Shannon continually strives to help her patients achieve their highest level of function and return to the normalcy of their lives.
