Northeast Rehab, a physician-led independent medical group in Scranton, PA, is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Interventional Pain Physician or General Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Physician to join our growing team.
We are one of the largest independent multispecialty practices in Northeastern Pennsylvania, offering integrated outpatient care in physiatry, neurology, rheumatology, and musculoskeletal medicine. Our practice owns and operates a fully accredited ambulatory surgery center along with a broad range of in-house ancillary services, including physical therapy, chiropractic care, psychology and behavioral health, acupuncture, and massage therapy.
Position Highlights:
- Outpatient-focused position with no hospital call
- Perform interventional procedures, such as epidural injections, facet blocks, radiofrequency ablation, joint injections, and spinal cord stimulator trials

Qualifications:
- BC/BE in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation
- For Interventional Pain Physicians: Fellowship training or extensive experience in interventional pain procedures is preferred

Northeast Rehab is seeking an experienced Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) Administrator to lead the daily operations of our newly established ASC for pain management procedures. This individual will be responsible for ensuring clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, financial performance, and an exceptional patient experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of ASC operations, including clinical, administrative, and financial functions
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and accreditation standards
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing multidisciplinary team
- Manage budgets, revenue cycle, and cost containment strategies
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing leadership, and governing board to drive strategic initiatives
- Implement quality assurance and performance improvement programs
- Maintain a safe, efficient, and patient-centered environment
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Nursing, or related field (Master’s preferred)
- Minimum of 3–5 years of leadership experience in an ASC or surgical services setting
- Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and compliance requirements
- Proven financial management and operational leadership skills
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities

Northeast Rehab is hiring a full time Clinical Certified Medical Assistant in our Scranton location.
As part of the clinical support staff, the CCMA organizes and provides clerical and clinical support to physicians and other medical personnel in the clinical area in a cooperative, team-oriented manner.
The CCMA manages large volume of patient calls and messages related to patient care, medication refill requests, prior auth questions, etc. Will utilize electronic medical records to maintain and update patient medical records.
Must have current Medical Assistant experience. Medical Assistant Certification is preferred and will be required within 6 months of hire. Medent experience preferred.

Responsibilities including assisting physicians in performing specific assessments for independent medical exams. Client contact is involved. Duties include:
- Obtain pre-certifications for Medication, Botox, Radiology and Special Procedure (Injection) Orders.
- Monitor and maintain pending pre-certifications through EMR system.
- Enter all pre-certification information into the electronic scheduling and billing system.
- Verify patient eligibility and pre-certification requirements through on-line verification software or by telephone.
Skills and Abilities:
- Recent medical office experience required.
- Must have understanding and knowledge of insurances, authorizations, referrals, and pre-certification requirements.
- Medent software experience preferred.
- Well-developed assessment skills, independent decision making abilities and good judgment are required

Duties include:
- Reviewing and verifying accuracy of patient demographic and insurance information.
- Submitting electronic claims to insurance companies and follow up on outstanding claims.
- Processing payments from insurance companies and patients.
- Handling inquiries from patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers regarding billing issues.
- Maintaining confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Requirements:
- Prior medical office billing experience required.
- Knowledge of medical coding, terminology, and billing processes
- Knowledge of insurances and payors.
- Experience working with medical records and EMR systems – Medent experience a plus!
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
