Matthew Scalese, DPT

Matt Scalese is a doctor of physical therapy (DPT), specializing in rehabilitation of spine, sport, and orthopedic injuries since 1998. He received his Master's in Physical Therapy from the University of Scranton and later attained doctoral status in Physical Therapy from Temple University. He is a spine rehab specialist (cert MDT) credentialed by the prestigious McKenzie Institute. He is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and is credentialed by the APTA as an orthopedic certified specialist (OCS). Matt is the only physical therapist in Northeastern Pennsylvania to hold his doctorate in Physical Therapy, OCS certification and the McKenzie spine rehabilitation certification.  Additionally, Matt is a lecturer on spine, sport, and orthopedic physical therapy and previously held adjunct faculty member status at the University of Scranton.

Matt is a sport enthusiast that has pursued many athletic challenges over the past few decades. He excelled in collegiate baseball, completed over 20 marathons, and has done extensive weight training with more recent concentrations on core training and kettlebell utilization.
